LinkedIn Juice Analyzer Chrome Extension
Short version: The extension reads LinkedIn post text to score it. Nothing is stored on our servers. Your optional API key never leaves your browser.
What we collect
The extension processes LinkedIn post text locally and, optionally, sends it to a scoring service. Specifically:
- Post text — visible text from LinkedIn feed posts is read locally to compute scores. When using the built-in AI scoring (free tier), this text is sent to our proxy server, which forwards it to DeepSeek's API to generate a score. No post text is stored or logged.
- Usage counter — a daily request count (a number and today's date) is stored locally in your browser via
chrome.storage.local to enforce the free usage limit. This data never leaves your device.
- Your API key (optional) — if you choose to add your own API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, or DeepSeek), it is stored locally in
chrome.storage.sync, which is synced by Chrome across your signed-in devices. The key is sent directly from your browser to the respective AI provider. We never receive or store it.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
- We do not track which posts you viewed or scored.
- We do not use cookies or analytics.
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
- We do not store post text after scoring is complete.
Third-party services
When using the built-in free scoring tier, post text is forwarded to DeepSeek via our proxy. DeepSeek's own Privacy Policy applies to that data.
If you use your own API key, requests go directly to OpenAI, Anthropic, or DeepSeek depending on your selection. Their respective privacy policies apply.
Data retention
Our proxy server does not log or store any request data. Post text sent for scoring is processed in memory and immediately discarded after the response is returned.
Local data (usage counter, optional API key) remains on your device until you uninstall the extension or clear it manually via Chrome settings.
Permissions
The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:
- storage — to save your rate-limit counter and optional API key locally.
- Host permissions for linkedin.com — to read post text from the LinkedIn feed.
- Host permissions for tiagoscosta.com and AI provider domains — to send scoring requests to our proxy or directly to AI providers.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date below. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
